Philipp Herrmann
Identify birds with your ears
Philipp Herrmann, known as „der Vogelphilipp“, has been interested in ornithology since childhood, studied nature conservation and landscape planning and is an enthusiastic ornithologist and ecologist. He has been exploring nature for over 30 years and has been involved in various projects throughout Europe, as a site supervisor, in bird research and on natural history excursions. His services include consulting, research and organizing excursions about birds and their behaviour. Always with the aim of discovering the fascinating world of nature together. Every year in April, the bird song expert and BUND Naturschutz in Bayern e. V. offer a bird song hotline on WhatsApp. Under the motto „Who’s singing there?“, anyone can record and send him bird calls via voice messages.
Lecture content:
Current research confirms that seeing and hearing birds takes us out of our everyday lives and away from our constant stress. This positive effect is amplified when we know the names of the birds we encounter. @dervogelphilipp presents his career, his stages and his book, which was published on February 15. With his unique concept, Philipp helps all bird enthusiasts to recognize over 30 native birds without a doubt by their song. At the same time, he presents each individual species in detail in the book and also ensures an optimal learning effect with his videos, in which he explains everything clearly. So: get out into nature, open your eyes and ears! Have fun birdwatching! In April, send Philipp a WhatsApp with your bird calls from the balcony.
