Photographing insects made easy — photographing wild bees for beginners
Mirja Neff is a BUND wild bee ambassador, a natural garden planner trained by the natural garden specialist Ahornblatt Garten, a nature photographer, a garden guide in Rheinhessen and the garden owner of a 600 m² natural garden with over 70 wild bee species in it. She has created two outstanding websites. Wildbienengarten.de provides information on gardening for wild bees — with plant combinations for replanting and lots of background information. The Planting suggestions and flowering calendar as a PDF for every bed size and every location help to plant wildflowers in beautiful, functioning communities in the garden and on the balcony. This also encourages specialized wild bees and butterflies, which depend on many of the plants shown there and in the presentation for their survival.
Content of the picture presentation:
With this lecture, the wild bee ambassador conveys the joy of photography. She gives lots of practical tips, but is less concerned with technical details. You’ve come to the right place if you’ve only taken photos so far, then this is the right lecture for you to get ahead. If you have been photographing insects for a long time, perhaps with a camera, you may still get something out of it, because it is about important basics beyond the technology. By photographing and focusing on details, we can get to know many more animals. Have fun taking photos!
