Ökologische Blattlausbekämpfung – wirksam und ohne Gift

Wühl­mäu­se im Gar­ten kön­nen zur Gedulds­pro­be wer­den. Plötz­lich ver­schwin­den Wur­zeln, jun­ge Bäu­me kip­pen um, und Gemü­se wird unter­ir­disch ange­fres­sen.

Doch bevor man zu Gift greift, lohnt sich ein Blick auf die Zusam­men­hän­ge: Wühl­mäu­se spie­len eine wich­ti­ge Rol­le im Öko­sys­tem. Sie sind Fut­ter für vie­le Arten und betrei­ben Woh­nungs­bau für Hum­meln, Krö­ten und ande­re Tie­re.  Gift wür­de nicht nur sie tref­fen, son­dern auch Igel, Eich­hörn­chen, Greif­vö­gel und ande­re Nütz­lin­ge.

Des­we­gen ist Gift ist auch ein Grund, war­um sie sich manch­mal so stark ver­meh­ren.

Ide­al für alle, die ihren Gar­ten genie­ßen wol­len, ohne Gift und Gewalt. Aber auch nicht alles den Wühl­mäu­sen über­las­sen wol­len.

Wich­tig ist auch, zu klä­ren, ob es über­haupt Wühl­mäu­se sind. Oft wer­den Maul­wür­fe ver­däch­tigt; oder es sind Rat­ten. Dafür gibt es kla­re Unter­schei­dungs­merk­ma­le in die­sem Vor­trag und ihr wer­det nie wie­der die drei mit­ein­an­der ver­wech­seln.

Gar­dens are spe­cial places, some­thing bet­ween wild natu­re and tamed civi­liza­ti­on. We have only bor­ro­wed this pie­ce of natu­re from the uni­ver­se and should tre­at it as such. Not just sty­ling it as our green living room, but pre­ser­ving it as a living space for all spe­ci­es to whom it belongs just as much as it belongs to us.
