If you don\u2019t like sowing, then try pro\u00adpa\u00adga\u00adti\u00adon by cut\u00adtings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If sowing from a stem that has been left stan\u00adding does\u00adn\u2019t work and you don\u2019t want to sow, cut\u00adtings are a gre\u00adat opti\u00adon. Arte\u00admi\u00adsia annua is easy to care for. It is robust. It is important not to keep it too moist and to use a LARGE plan\u00adter. It adapts its growth to the size of the con\u00adtai\u00adner and the sub\u00adstra\u00adte. It can grow up to 2 meters tall in a plan\u00adter on the bal\u00adc\u00ado\u00adny. A nut\u00adri\u00adent-rich sub\u00adstra\u00adte and a lar\u00adge con\u00adtai\u00adner are requi\u00adred. If the soil is poor in nut\u00adri\u00adents and the pot is smal\u00adler, it will not grow as vigo\u00adrous\u00adly. It is an annu\u00adal, but forms tiny litt\u00adle seeds from August or Sep\u00adtem\u00adber onwards, which you can sow again yours\u00adelf or lea\u00adve to ger\u00admi\u00adna\u00adte on the bal\u00adc\u00ado\u00adny. \u201cIn ear\u00adly spring I bought Arte\u00admi\u00adsia Annua seeds from the Temp\u00adlin herb gar\u00adden<\/a> orde\u00adred and pre-grown at the win\u00addow in March. Cul\u00adti\u00adva\u00adti\u00adon is a litt\u00adle tri\u00adcky becau\u00adse the seed is as fine as pow\u00adder and you real\u00adly have to sow it very thin\u00adly. The sprou\u00adted seeds are nevert\u00adhel\u00adess very den\u00adse and quick\u00adly intert\u00adwi\u00adne. When the seed\u00adlings were about 5 cm high, I careful\u00adly sepa\u00adra\u00adted them into very small pots. After the Ice Saints, I repot\u00adted them in lar\u00adger pots and put 14 plants on the bal\u00adc\u00ado\u00adny. I could\u00adn\u2019t fit any more on my mini-bal\u00adc\u00ado\u00adny and unfort\u00adu\u00adna\u00adte\u00adly I don\u2019t have a gar\u00adden. You have to make sure that the plants don\u2019t dry out, becau\u00adse if they are stres\u00adsed by drought they start to flower. But then the arte\u00admi\u00adsi\u00adnin con\u00adtent drops. I have fer\u00adti\u00adli\u00adzed them from time to time with liquid uni\u00adver\u00adsal fer\u00adti\u00adli\u00adzer Vin\u00adal\u00adga (Snoek natu\u00adral pro\u00adducts<\/a>The\u00adre was a lec\u00adtu\u00adre on this at the last orga\u00adnic bal\u00adc\u00ado\u00adny con\u00adgress). I only used the lea\u00adves wit\u00adhout the stems. So you can\u2019t say that gro\u00adwing them on the bal\u00adc\u00ado\u00adny is very wort\u00adhwhile. Nevert\u00adhel\u00adess, I thought it was gre\u00adat to try it out. If I had a gar\u00adden, I would do it again next year. It\u2019s not worth let\u00adting a plant flower in order to coll\u00adect the seeds. Becau\u00adse the seed sup\u00adpo\u00adsedly only pro\u00addu\u00adces the com\u00admon mug\u00adwort with much less acti\u00adve ingre\u00addi\u00adent.
